A Filetta's music is an audacious contemporary vocal polyphony, rooted in a Corsican oral tradition, born in 1978. Founded by young enthusiasts, the group was initially committed to preserving a declining heritage. Over the years, they have enriched their repertoire by opening up to other traditions, disciplines and artistic collaborations. Their music, a blend of sacred and secular chants, film scores and dance compositions, embodies an open-minded vision of the world, rejecting any form of identitarian withdrawal, summed up by a quotation from René Char on the purity of creations.
