MON JARDIN PALAVASIEN

In Palavas, greening is allowed!
The town has introduced the "Mon jardin Palavasien" greening permit, giving you the opportunity to invite nature into town.

In order to encourage the greening of the public domain, to raise awareness, and to preserve and improve our environment, the town has introduced a greening permit.
Any resident of Palavas wishing to create a street garden (window box, micro-flowering at the foot of a wall or tree) will be able to do so under certain conditions.
This civic and floral project will not only contribute to the attractiveness of the town, but will also be a vector of social cohesion between residents.
To this end, the Municipality has set up a temporary permit to occupy the public domain, known as a "permis de végétaliser", for anyone who undertakes to maintain the planting site and to garden in an environmentally-friendly manner (no fertilizers or pesticides).
The permit holder also undertakes to choose melliferous plants adapted to our Mediterranean climate from a catalog of authorized plants.
To obtain this temporary occupation permit, residents must fill in a form and describe what they wish to plant.
The flowering project will then be examined by a commission to determine its feasibility.
A welcome kit, help with installation and a visit to the site will be provided by the town.
Once the permit has been obtained, the holder is obliged to water and maintain the area.

How to obtain a greening permit?
Two flowering campaigns will be held each year, in spring and autumn.

The application deadlines are as follows:
- February 15 for the spring campaign,
- September 30 for the fall campaign.
